Planning Tasmania's freight system
Freight infrastructure is expensive to maintain and provide. Investment decisions are long-term and need to be supported by adequate freight demand.
To ensure investment in freight infrastructure is strategic and supports state growth, the Tasmanian Government is also undertaking a range of targeted planning and investment projects.
The Tasmanian Integrated Freight Strategy provides a coordinated framework to guide freight planning and investment, across modes.
