Dial Regional Sports Complex Infrastructure Upgrades Project

Dial Park Regional Sporting Complex Penguin

The Dial Regional Sports Complex (Dial Park) is a multi-purpose regional sports facility located in North West Tasmania at Penguin. The facility is owned and operated by the Central Coast Council (Council).

In 2018, the Council built two sports ovals and a shared pavilion facility including function rooms, change rooms, viewing and seating areas. In 2022, the Tasmanian Government committed additional funding towards infrastructure upgrades.  The upgrades aimed to enhance spectator and participant infrastructure to attract a wider range of events to the region.

Infrastructure Tasmania, in collaboration with Council and Stadiums Tasmania, progressed early scoping works for Dial Park.  The project team completed preliminary condition assessments and site investigations along with a compliance assessment to ensure the facility meets the required Australian AFL Tier 4 Stadia Standards. This work and stakeholder feedback helped to inform the next steps.

Following the preliminary investigations, targeted community consultation and concept design options were completed to determine the most appropriate use and prioritisation of the allocated funding.

On 4 March 2025, the government confirmed the delivery of the Dial Park Infrastructure Upgrades will be completed by the Central Coast Council through a Grant Deed that will be managed by Active Tasmania.
